The a list of the safety equipment carried below deck on Sunny Spells (and stowage locations) is shown below. This list does not include safety equipment on deck:
- Six-person life raft with hydrostatic release.
- Two life buoys (horseshoe) on pushpit, both with drogues and danbuoy lights.
- Floating nylon throwing rope with float.
- ‘Lifesling’ MoB recovery equipment on pushpit.
- Jackstays (high-tensile nylon webbing) on side decks.
- Five hard attachment points in cockpit for tethers.
- Deck knife with serrated edge lashed to wheel pedestal.
- Manual bilge pump and handle.
